HOLIDAY IN THE SHIVALIKS

We were looking for a different kind of holiday in the shivalik foothills that would swirl refreshing memories that would kindle many a dull days for times to come . It was also to bring back the zeal for life in my mother and mother in law both of whom have lost their husbands and were lonely and depressed .

LOLEYGAON
We started from Bokaro Steel City by Ranchi -Alipurduar to alight at NJP from where we taxied till loleygaon our first destination .Loleygaon is a village in the shivalik hills which is very popular wid bengali tourists with its virgin hills clad with its lush green forests located at a height of 1850 mts. It has a variety of trees including the bay leaf tree , cinnamon tree,tite chap tree all exhibited in the canopy walk along the swinging log bridge that makes one feel the thrill of a forest trek . The other attractions temple of lord Shivaand terraced garden lined with exquisitely beautiful flowers . We took a small trek in the nearby forest in the nearby forest which is supposedly visited by bears and leopards our two day stay at loleygaon filled our souls with serenity and our lungs with oxygen after two days it was time to say bye bye to loleygaon .
